Puppy Socialization Time

The socialization period is a short and critical but extremely important time in every puppies life. Therefore you should use it to your and your pups advantage!

The time frame closes at around 12 weeks of age but from experience we know that until a puppy is 16 weeks old everything is still possible. It is important not to wait until past this time but rather get in touch with us as early as possible, so that we can work out a plan for your puppy’s socialization to make the best out of it. Definitely you can see that what a puppy missed until this time and especially throughout the first 6 months, will be way harder for the young dog to catch up on.

Puppy socialization includes getting puppy familiar with as many environmental stimuli as possible. That means in detail, exposing puppy to many and different people, friendly dogs, other animals, cars, bikes, noises, crowds, situations, you name it. People wearing hats, holding umbrellas, umbrellas that get opened and closed, sudden and/or loud noises, recovering from a startle and all such things are super important for a young dog to learn to cope with because during the socialization period they set the building blocks for their entire lives.

Puppy Manners & Puppy Obedience

Starting your puppy on good dog manners and basic obedience is the easiest when you do it right from the very beginning, so as soon as you have your little one. And the best of this – teaching your fur baby manners and dog obedience is a lot of fun because it is done through easily understandable games and establishes a great bond, deep lifelong relationship made of trust, respect and love.

Dog manners are basically rules in and around your life that tell your puppy what is ok to do and what not. So, setting these rules up early on and following through them always and everywhere will make living together a breeze and enjoyable for you both!
